I think its spelled Mega Deus. Kinda like "Deus ex machina". (latin)
So the people consider The giant robots "Mega Deuses"(mega gods) Which would explain why it says "cast in the name of God, ye not guilty."
I think that there might have been a dubbing mix-up in the translation. Because Deus is pronounced (day-oos). Or maybe since everbody in paradigm city doesn't know any other languages then whereever they saw the name "mega deus" they must have pronounced it incorrectly. Just a theory, again if anyone has said this before then so my bad if anything.

Well I used to think it was Big O that was just called the Mega Deus, thinking Deus(meaning 2) for its 2 giant arms. Then they started calling the other Robots that so that answered that question.

Interesting, one of the meaning of Deus ex Machina is this..
any active agent who appears unexpectedly to solve and insoluble difficulty
Kind of interesting, Deus ex Machina, also means the 'god from the machine', in the case of Big O this could be taken from the name Mega Deus.
They are a sort of 'machine god' in that they are the highest of they're kind, in one way the gods of the machines, an odd way to think about it but it does work. _________________ The Mighty King of Bad Ideas

i think he meant that he watched the run that ended this past monday, meaning he only had to endure a six-day wait for the new stuff to start...

I know how you feel. I have been waiting the 2 years to. But it was worth it to see the uncut version. Since it answered, and really asked, so many questions.
Im going into tomorrow nights showing thinking it will only be okay. I have seen to many season 2's ruin a series. So I dont want to overhype it in my head. But my Roger, R Doroty, Big O, and Big Duo models will be on my desk as its running
