Post subject: after a certain song...

the song i want was on a Toonami advert a long while back. the advert was a promo of various cartoons (gundam wing and dragonball z are the ones that immediately srping to mind) and featured quite a heavy, metally-sounding riff.
about half way through the promo the music slows down and i have a vivid memory of a gundam landing on a battleship (i think) at the same time.
the reason i wanna know what this song's called is because i would love for my band to play it as an instrumental.
sorry if this was a bit vague but it was a long time ago and that's about all i can remember. ^.^; |

There are three promos I can think of that I believe you're referring to:
-Technologically Superior
-Pardon Our Dust
-Mad Rhetoric
Would you mind downloading those and identifying which one it is? There were so many good DBZ/Gundam Wing promos back in the day that knowing which one you're looking for is kinda vague.

i already checked all those promos and it isn't any of them. i live in the uk see and we didn't get any of those "pardon our dust" or "mad rhetoric" promos, as far as i can remember it was just an advert for toonami but it was quite a long one. it was a pretty general advert that showed scenes from alot of the shows toonami used to air, i just remember the gundam scene specifically along with the draginball z clips.
ooh, just got a flash back, when the song slows down and the gundam lands on the battleship i'm pretty sure that it shows a view from inside the battleship with the gundam looking in.... dunno if that helps or not but hey... it's something atleast! |

found someone else looking for the same song and they had a more detailed description than i do
"It contained clips from gundam wing, dragonball, possibly tenchi. At some point it goes quiet, you see the gundam Deathscythe jumps onto a carrier and is about to slash, then someone(possibly heero yui) calls out one more to go, and the music starts up again."
...so there we go |
