I saw it in the TV news thread but if I remember right thats not a discussion thread. So I start it here. Spike means so many things to so many different men. To some on this list it will men Spike from Cowboy Bebop. To others its what they named their body part. It says they will be competing against the Maxim Entertainment Network (MEN). Not realizing of course that only a woman would create an acronym like MEN. But thats okay Maxim's a good thing. Right guys?
So what shows should be on Spike
The Man Show
The Howard Stern Show
Victorias Secret Catalog (every other hour)
Fishing with Joe Bob Bill
Women in Jail (THE SERIES)

TNN - The Nashville Network... no wait the The National Network.
You know buyer of all star trek series, and lots of wrestling. Is becoming Spike (without the segal part on the end). Will now be known as Spike. Not even Spike TV. Just plain Spike.
The only reason MEN was mentioned is because Spike is the first network aimed at men (no not MEN lowercase). And that Maxims network was the first one announced to. But Spike will be the first to be one on June 16th.
Girls on Trampolines anyone?

right, I knew about spike on account of the third story down on this post. So Maxim has yet to do anything with their talks of a television network. If it's still planned I'm assuming they're trying to come up with programming ideas n stuff for it. Maxim would be the perfect house to show all the bond flicks. TNN/Spike loves the bond so I doubt they'd be willing to give it up.

oh hehe  looking back I notice the first sentance in your post. my bad. I would prefer not to have discussion in there but it doesn't matter. The only one I'm really adiment about having only minimal discussion in is the animation news thread. thanks for the consideration

Actually we have the History (aka the war channel) all those damned Modern Marvels for the bigger is better male approach. But of course have always had our channel. Just gets scrambled in our heads sometimes.

I was gonan say we got the playboy and other "porn" channels then I thought "hey, men need some non pay channels" The history channel is too much flavor of the month for me, they don't air the documentaries I like often enough It's all about Roman civ for me, I just find most of the modernesque warfare stuff fairly boring. Though lately I am loving Mail Call and the one with the english guy with the shaved head I forget what its called but it rules.

Oh please! Don't you guy's already have your fair share of overly testosterone filled shows running all over cable as it is to get a channel of your own. |

the same could be said about estrogen fill shows. just look at dawsons creek and at least our channel won't be filled will sob stories about rape and underage pregnancies and crappy stuff like that.

Your thinkin of Conquest which has the english guy. And I was thinking more TLC, now that the mind started to grasp this. Junyward wars and a 3 hour special on clevage. Who would have guessed?
