No clue, although I think that Nick Stahl, the actor who plays John, looks something like Michael Biehn.

EDIT: I just found out that Eddie Furlong was going to reprise his role as Connor, but couldn't due to drug problems. Also, Lance Henricksen, one of the cops from the first film, was planned to reprise his role, but the idea was dropped.

EDIT2: Okay, now the board shows the post.

"French" and "bitch" don't rhyme.

It's a sad, uncivilized world out there, isn't it?

Pirates fo the Carribean: Curse of the Black Pearl Mr. Green

First off I would like to say this: ARRR!!!!!!

From beginning to end, this movie was for a lack of a better word, flawless. If there was something that could have been improved on I couldn't tell you what it was because I couldn't tell you what it was.

With Johnny Depp as Jack Sparrow the Best worst pirate ever; after showing us how Elizebeth (knightley) and William (Bloom) meet the goes throguh a nice rollarcoaster of humor, action, effects, and story. Oh there is be plenty of story here popit. Plenty of story indeed; actually at two and a half hours there is plenty of everything including the angelic Knightly just doing her thing... you know, being hot.

There are just boatloads of scenes in the movie taken almost directly from the ride giving anyone (which should be everyone) who has been on the ride a reason to laugh, sometimes though they aren't quite as obvious.

So lets do the math.
Johnny Depp + Geoffry Rush + Kiera Knightly + Orlando Bloom + Pirates + Undead Pirates + REALLY well done un-dead pirates + AN UNDEAD MONKEY = Probably the best movie of the summer.

UNDEAD MONKEY FOR GODS SAKE!

Went to see it last night and even with numurous things that went wrong during the showing it was still a great movie. Johnny Depp seriously kicked ass and made the movie. The other cast was good and Knightly was hot. The plot was slightly predictable, but I think that was because I was praited out. Having seen Muppet Treasure Lisland last week because i was near death with boredom, and renting Treasure Planet because spook wouldn't shut up about it. The fight scenes did seem to drag on and I disliked the camera work since they rarely took wide shots and instead tried to pinpoint on the action and get up real close all the time.

Overall though it was about what I expected but Depp really made it worth going to see.

Now if only the camera didn't bust twice during the beggining and the kid in the back didn't shit his pants during the end it might have been better.

....yes you heard me....he shit his pants....it was not pleasant.

Yeah, the undead monkey had a similar effect on me as well...

..anyway, I will go ahead and say that this was one of the most surprising films I've seen this summer... actually, let me rephrase that... it was the one movie this summer that surprised me by being really, really good! I've seen X-2 (not bad, but could have been much better), The Hulk (actually, it was kind of horrible, which is a shame because I'm a fan of Ang Lee's work), and although I still haven't gotten around to seeing Matrix: Reloaded, from what I gather I haven't really missed much anyway. But this is one nice little gem of a movie. The only bad things I've heard about it is from guys who were disappointed because they had heard that there would be a Star Wars trailer before the film (bunch of no-necked, greasy-foreheaded freaks... but I digress).

Johnny Depp definitely impressed me yet again with his ability to play another bizaare and interesting character. And the final duel between him and Geoffrey Rush when they were both undead was one slick piece of special effects (second only to the undead pirates walking along the bottom of the sea, which I want to make my new wallpaper). Ah, is there anything that Johnny Depp can't do? If I weren't so secure in my sexuality, I would probably feel threatened and mildly aroused by the sight of Johnny Depp... er, but I digress yet again...

Having never been to either Disney World or Disney Land (I don't know which one had the Pirates of the Carribean ride originally), I really have no clue what the ride was like, but I had assumed it featured a lot of guys wearing bandanas and saying "Arrr!" a lot... But thanks to modern movie magic, I no longer have to feel like I missed out on such a memorable moment of childhood. Yessiree, I'm no longer bitter that I never got to go to Disney World... or Disneyland... yessiree, no bitterness here... no sir...

...anyway, I'll write some more stuff after I've come back from my therapy session...

...*grumble grumble* didn't want to see Epcot anyway *grumble grumble* Magic Kingdom my ass *grumble grumble* cheap-skate parents...
