All those snow days finally caught up to me. The school day's been extended by 15 minutes for the next several weeks and we have to go on memorial day and a student holiday. _________________ "I hope you haven't become too attached to your head, because in about two seconds it will be festively decorating that back wall."

did I mention it's 70 degrees out and birds are chirping? I think I'm going to go make an ice coffee and relax outside. Wonderous sun. _________________ "Veni. Vedi. Spooki." - Julius Caesar
I came. I saw. I spooked.
If you've been watching the news, then it's probably been all about Iraq. But there might be a little two second blurb about Denver having the worst snow since 1944.
It was 70 last week, but now we have 27 inches.
Schools and stuff are closed from Tuesday through Thursday. I'm lucky because I still have electricity. I spent six hours shoveling snow and now I'm ready to watch anime until Friday. We'll probably be getting more snow tonight.
Denver Int'l Airport has been closed for a few days and about 4,000 people are stuck there. Enjoy, it's not our fault. _________________ "Robots don't say 'ye'."

We just got 4 inches of wet, heavy snow on Friday. Normally 4 inches isn't bad, but it snowed after all the trees bloomed. So with the leaves and the snow, the branches couldn't handle the weight and broke.
There's broken branches all over the place. I was at a LAN party when a branch fell on the power line. There went my high score in CS.
The snow was all melted by today. Hopefully this was the last snow until October. _________________ "Robots don't say 'ye'."

Yes, Beefy plays CS.
My weapons of choice are the p90 and the Knight Hawk pistol. I hardly ever play online, just at LAN parties.
I'm not a member of any clan, but just keep posting when and where your matches and practice sessions are in the PDF Clan News thread and I'll try to stop by if I get the chance. _________________ "Robots don't say 'ye'."

::starts choking on the dust::
well, with the first significant winter storm of the season, i thought it'd be time to revive this old thread for what may turn out to be an even more severe winter than 02-03...
down here in south jersey, yesterday was mostly freezing rain, though amazingly, the snow began sticking about a mile north from my house (no accumulation in my town, but a ten minute drive to the college yielded over an inch)...the snow really began coming this morning, with about two inches accumulated, though now it's starting to slow down...

It's 55 and windy right now, I'm starting to think it might just snow in Venice this year. _________________ Bang.

55 degrees? Farenheigt!?! What the hell are you moaning about, that's a freakin' heat wave here in Michigan! We've been having highs in the mid-30s for the past two weeks. In fact, it's something like 34 outside right now, with a wind chill of about 26 (which isn't too bad this time of year)... we'll have a low of 19 tonight...
actually, I wish we could get some snow here, but it's supposed to be getting warmer this week... poop... _________________ "The principles you live by create the world you live in; if you change the principles you live by, you will change your world." -Blaine Lee

I've been growing my hair out for almost a year now, and it's about . . 6-7 inches long in places. (I can almost chew my hair. FOR THE FIRST TIME IN MY LIFE!) And I went outside the other morning to go to school and my hair was wet. And it FROZE. I had only been outside for 5 seconds and my hair had frozen. I went to brush it out of my eyes and it was hard. It was SO FRIKKEN cool. You haven't lived till your hair freezes. _________________ anime is teh s uck

meh... it's not that cool, especially when you have to walk to classes in cold-ass wind... _________________ "The principles you live by create the world you live in; if you change the principles you live by, you will change your world." -Blaine Lee

it's cool the first few times, but as your hair gets longer, it retains more water, so it isn't quite as much fun when your hair thaws out during class, unleashing a wave of water down your back... _________________ "Life's a journey, not a destination..." -Aerosmith ('Amazing')

It snowed here twice this week. We got a nice stick to the ground on tuesday (deep enough towhere just some grass could be seen above the snow), which lasted until midday wednesday. It snowed again thursday, but it didn't last the rest of the day, and only piled up where the wind blew it up against a wall or tree. _________________ This space left intentionally blank.
