So basically it's Inu Yasha for kids. I'm sorry, I don't get riled up without having seen it, and this is the first I've ever heard of it. Not even a promo. You folk are drooling over this like Eva fans drool over it, I can't comprehend that level of fanaticism.... Confused

Inuyasha for kids? That's just like a double positive. I can't find a parallel between Naruto and Inuyasha, sorrry. Naruto has the most in common with DBZ. The creator was a fan and follower of Toriyama as a child. Unlike DBZ it has a much richer plot and characters. The fight scene are brilliant, the music is stunning, the comedy will knock you on your ass, the adventure will entrance you. Even if you don't become a rabid fan I've never met anyone who seen it not at the very least like it.

What also makes it like DBZ is that 5 minutes of fighting takes about 2-3 episodes because of all the flashbacks, delving into the character's mind, and other such methods of dragging things out.

No, Naruto is more like someone stole White Wolf's supply of angst and dumped it into DBZ. I mean, can't we have one main character who is remotely happy?

Vash seemed like a pretty happy guy. Goku was deffinately happy until you pissed him off. A lot of main characters (action anime or not) are quite happy in their normal lives.

Not Edward and Alphones Elric. God seems to hate them.

Sorry, it's the only anime I've seen in the past 3 months.

But I AM looking forward like WHOA to Naruto and One Peice. ONE PEICE! YATTA!

Coops a happy guy but thats not so much anime

Roy Fokker was always happy and cheerful even right up until his untimely death. But then he had a steady peice of.. action. Unlike Rick Hunter who was in a triangle with an annoying teenager singer or an older woman

Tenchi sighs a lot but he doesnt seem miserable. Hell when did you ever see Washu unhappy?

Any of the guys in the hentai movies seem happy. Why not when you have 25 4 foot long genatalia

The two people who drove and maintain Napolean (Which the animes name completly escapes me) are happy

A-ko and C-ko never complained

The kids from Gforce (insert alternate name of series here) were always excited even in the face of a transexual adversary

Okay, while I shall refrain from a cliche` "omg they're gonna edit it" rant I will say I'm dissapointed that Naruto will not be airing on AS. Mainly due to my sick fetish of seeing prepubescent ninja twirps bleeding from wounds.

Oh and since this is now slated for Toonami let's kick this topic where it belongs.

Well, before hundreds of Narutards flood TI with polls about their favorite characters, I just want to state for the record: Rock Lee owns all.

Also before a ton of Narutards flood the boards I just want to state for the record that as a mod, I will not tolerate complaints along the lines of "OMG THEY ARE GONNA DUB IT THAT WILL SUCK ONLY THE TRUE JAPANESE VERSION IS GOOD".

You all are my witnesses. That arguement is stupid and I will not allow it's presense here.

I decided to check out the Animesuki Naruto board, to see how the Narutards were taking it.

Answer? Not so well.

Edit: Yes, I know it's not fair to pick on Jerry's Kids, but this post is so utterly insane that it needs that loving that only we can give it:

Some moronic narutard wrote:
You deserve a piece of my foot in your ass. All I'm saying, is that the Japanese get to watch the stuff for free because it's on television. Then American companies bring it over here and charge 25$ for 3 eps of a 150 eps (or more series).......$1,250.00. F*uck that and f*uck anyone who thinks that's a fair price to charge for something. I don't steal food from stores because I'm not a thief. But I believe what american companies do is wrong when they jack the prices through the f*uckin roof. That's allll I'm sayin. BUT yes, I do have some law obeying issues and you would too if you weren't such a cockboy. So chill out, pay 25 bucks for your 3 eps of Naruto on dvd, and don't talk shit like you know how everything should be.

Commemorative flamethrowers are available for use.

Edit 2: Please, give this frickin moron some love:

Paulc24 on AIM is my name, talk at me if you're with or against me.....

that's it. I can't stand this shit anymore. Yes, it's against the law to download licensed anime. And I'm willing to pay for anime at a reasonable price. Bottom line is this....unless you buy it from china bootlegged it's not a reasonable price. American companies have us by the short and curlies and they take advantage of that. Being a business major, I can understand where they're coming from, but it doesnt' make it right. So until I work for cartoon network as the chief procurement officer, they can go fuck themselves for inevitably bastardizing a great show and teaching kids that THAT is what anime is.....because it's most decidedly not.

So if you're one of those holier than thou whiners preaching that they don't have licensed anime and that , "Well I can't afford my dream car either, but you don't see me stealing one of those." can lick my taint.

At the 25 bucks a disc for 3 eps that they charge when they release anime at suncoast or Fye, it will cost about $1,300.00 to own the "licensed" series here through ep 150.

My name is Paul, my email is coscarelli17@hotmail.com MSN messanger at the same, and my AIM is
Paulc24

Anyone who doesn't agree with the current system and cares to join me is welcome to just get together as a group of friends and locate "renegade" fansubbers work on Naruto for "previewing purposes only". Very Happy

I'm no braveheart, but this system sucks. So mock me, ridicule me, suck my ass, whatever, I'm off to find ep 122.....

This is a man in desperate need of a clue-by-fouring.

Well I will agree that Viz is raping us by only having 3 eps per disc. I've seen companies release up to 5 eps per disc (IE ADV with the eva dvds.). But I'm really tired of people bitching about Cartoon Network 'Bastardizing' the show before its even been shown. It'll probably get the 10:30/9:30 slot and be hardly toned down. And if people don't like it, well tuff turds. They can always hit up a video store or boxtorrents. Whatever floats their boats.
