Only TEH AWESOEM!!!!!!11
Basically it's about a librarian/teacher who happens to be a secret agent for the Royal Library and has the power to manipulate paper into doing whatever she needs (weapons, shields, vehicles). Think of it along the lines of the original "Avengers" TV show, only animated.
Big fansite for it and the R.O.D. the TV series at www.readordie.org/.
It's also an Infolink Recommendation *subtle plug* _________________ "When I became a man, I put away childish things, including the fear of childishness and the desire to be very grown up."- C.S. Lewis

Read or Die is AWESOME!!! I liked the way the girl used paper as all sorts of weapons. Sadly I didn't get to see the end... _________________ "One Piece may seem like a pirate show, but it's really a life show. Think about it." Tom4, Toonami 2008 Hodgepodge |

Which is the reason I asked. Since I plan on Tivo'ing it. And is it legal for me to use the word TiVO that way? |

I dunno, you might try Googling around to find out. _________________ "When I became a man, I put away childish things, including the fear of childishness and the desire to be very grown up."- C.S. Lewis

Whoa, Read or Die is only a movie? I need to see it. The commercial on Adult Swim looked kickass. _________________ anime is teh s uck

Well there is a 3-part OVA that AS airs as a "movie". Then there's the RoD: TV series that, somehow, G4TechTV picked up and airs sporadically. It's your standard 26-episode brewhaha.... _________________ There is limited intelligence in the galaxy, but the stupidity of the universe is infinite. |

Meh. I've said my peace enough on this board. Someone else can step in for me.
By the way I lost count of how many times I've watched the OVA. Somewhere around 25... _________________ This space left intentionally blank.

I know a guy that's seen the Matrix (the first one) literally over 200 times . . .
And I couldn't tell you how much I watched Frosty the Snowman when I was 3. It was the the point where in June, my mom had to tell me that it was getting too warm and Frosty would melt if I kept watching it. Why would she be so cruel? She was sick of the songs . . .
To this day my parents can't stand the theme song . . . ^_^ _________________ anime is teh s uck

I hate to double post, but I just watched Read Or Die and it's awesome. The whole using-paper-as-anything thing has to be the most original super-human ability I've heard of in ages. It was so much freakin fun to watch paper tear shit up.
I am happy ^_^ _________________ anime is teh s uck

I think the creator got the inspiration from a paper cut. |

You really need to read some more comics, then.
(It kinda reminds me of Papercut from The Adventures of Pete & Pete...the two-parter where Artie left...anybody remember that show? Second best show in Nickelodean history) _________________ I am Jack's Fight Club reference. |
