Post subject: Lets Work Together

Well Im not sure if Im just too lazy to find another anime forum to join or I just enjoy my love/hate relationship with most members here, but damnit I care! That being said, lets get to the business at hand. This forum needs major interest. More topics is the main need. And no flaming or mods interfereing with topics as much. Take this how you want, but I havnt seen many topics lately that are worth me posting anything. So lets try to be alittle more active on new brighter topics and subjects and stop giving all your attension to sticky's.

I think a lot of the problem is that most everything has been said. The other large problem is that so many people feel this way, and thus don't check every topic like they used to. When was the last time you saw DP or CP post more than 5 posts in a day?

Toonami now aims towards a lower audience. And people under the age of 13 aren't supposed to be on message boards. Other than that, young people don't usually know how to act properly nad ta1k lik dis. So we havne't gotten many new members, or good new members I should say, and a lot of old vets have left.
Don't blame it on the mods. We only lock topics that most people look down upon, or if there are duplicate threads, or if asked. Also, if one of us locks it and another disagrees, it gets unlocked. It happened with the Invader Zim DVD thread. Spook thought it should be locked, I didn't. It's still active.
If you want more interesting topics, then post something interesting. Go to Misc. Babble and start an interesting poll or spark a discussion on Religion or Racism or something else controversial. We'll join in. This is a joint effort. You can't just come on and say "YOU GUYS AREN"T INTERESTING." I don't have the time to entertain you. If you want change, work towards it. You're absolutely correct. The board is stale. So do something about it.

I wonder how many members have 0 (zero) posts. I've notices several "new Members" over the course of a few weeks but they never posted. What gives?

Mine were a joke. I took my high school's equivilent to AP calc. and ended up in Col. Alg.

I could have went straight to calc 3, but decided to take calc 2 as a refresher course, wherein I didn't pay attention and I ended up writing love letters to mail to angela

i think you have to keep in mind that this board also follows the block it's named after, so when toonami's on the rise, we get more people, and when toonami's in a lull, it gets rather quiet...as it stands, toonami's had its surge with the new look and shows last march and into the summer, but by the fall it started to fade back and it really hasn't had that "big" show in quite some time, and the current state of the board reflects that...
another thing to remember is this board consists of a rather small community, as most of the "regulars" have been around since the board first started back in late '01/early '02...a lot of us have more responsibilities now than we did back then, so we can't spend as much of our time hanging around the boards as we used to, to the point where many of our members have had to drop the board entirely...
still, i don't think things are actually as dire as i appear to make them out to be...after all, the vast majority are still here, so we've obviously been doing something right...

I'm stil here, despite having a life...
man, sometimes I wish I didn't have a woman, and I could spend all my time playing videogames and being a nerd. Then I laugh and think nah I'm happy.
