Yup, yup. This often happens. And I must say that the latin popstars are much more annoying than the homegrown ones. because you just KNOW they came here for the money and only the money. fame too. at least the home grown ones are... umm... no they all suck. _________________ "Veni. Yeah, but compared to his last work, he seems to have lost that acid/psychiadelic flare, that he expressed in the beginning...but Bunbury still managed to space me out with Lady. |

...hard to say, because a lot of die-hard metallica fans believe that album was the cause of their "downfall" or something...
...i happen to like everything they've made, old and new, but it was a lot of their newer stuff that hit me first..."metallica/the black album", "load" and "reload" were easy for me to get into because it had a sound which, while considered "different" (and therefore "terrible") by the die-hards, was right up my alley as it reminded me of the classic rock music i usually listen to...it was that familiarity which got me interested to check out such classics as "master of puppets" and "kill 'em all"
...i'd say take a shot at "s&m"...you'll get a nice mix of the old and new played in a way that you probably haven't heard before...from there, it'll probably be easier to decide where to go... _________________ "Life's a journey, not a destination..." -Aerosmith ('Amazing')

There is two school of thinking, three really if you count mine.
The first school is: Pre-Black Album kicks major ass and anything you get would blow the Black album away.
The second school is: Everything pre-black album sucks and metallica's post-black albums are so much better.
The third (and best I might add) is my school of thought: All of Metallica kicks ass, but you really have to look at post black album very differently from how you would pre. Their older stuff is pure and true trash metal. The best there was/is still. The newer stuff isn't thrash anymore, but it's quality remains nearly the same.
I would suggest getting two albums. First S&M. It's basicly a best of, but with a kick ass symphony arrangement. Secondly I'd suggest you get Master of Puppets or Ride the Lightning. The qually of MoP and RtL is nearly the same, its just song preferance for which one is the best Metallica album ever. I personally love Disposable Heroes so MoP takes the top spot. _________________ "Veni. Vedi. Spooki." - Julius Caesar
