Cowboy Bebop, both Eva endings, and The 08th MS Team.

*Kicks Goldfinger for resurrecting old, dead thred*
Gundam 0080, and 08th MS Team at about a tie, trailing behind Read or Die and Outllaw Star. The clear best, however, is Eva.

Outlaw Star needed something more,it was good but in my opinion not the best.I still have yet to see an anime with a superb ending that would leave with a sporadic jumble in my mouth, so to say...

Yet Samurai X was an ending I liked, not the best ... but I liked.

Out of Trigun, Excel Saga, Kurumi, Cowboy Bebop, Gundam Wing, 08th MS Team, Outlaw Star, and Evangelion, I say that Cowboy Bebop is the better, not the best, out of all of them.

Samurai X wasn't so much an ending but a "and now you know the rest of Kenshin's back-story" sort of thing...

Again, playing up the obscure, not-yet-released-in-the-U.S. anime, I'd have to say my favorite anime endings would be FLCL and probably Abenobashi Mahou Shotengai... I've got a thing for how GAINAX ends their series...

...and yes, Cowboy Bebop is an excellent ending as well, as is Perfect Blue...

And I have the (almost) complete Maxx series on VHS... for some reason, they left an episode out, but I think it's because it was the episode that featured Mako, a character that Sam Keith didn't really own and was basically "borrowing" from another Image title, "Savage Dragon"...

Tie between 0080, Bebop, and the ending of Turn A Gundam.

I still say Bebop needed another half season. Vicious was one of the most static anime characters ever created without much mention of his past, except that he was in the Titan war. I think a few more episodes dealing with the Syndicate, as well as Jet's past were in order. Another episode involving Faye from when she went on the run to when she was captured would also be nice.

When all of you are saying evenagelion. You mean the movies or the episode? We had a good thread on this. I guess if your used to watching a lot of anime then that mess that was episode 26 would have made sense.

Its been so long since I watched Outlaw Star that I forget its ending. When will they ever run it again.

Gundam Wing had an okay ending but left a lot of room to expand the series.

I agree Bebop needed to go farther. We really should see more of Jett's background. More history into Fay's being cryogenically frozen (and why) and Spikes various pasts. The only two endings Bebop gave us were Ed's (which could be its own wacked out spin off) and Spikes. Although he survived death once didnt he?

One of the lamest I can remember are both Macross (robotech 1)'s "Singing will save the universe" and the true end to robotech. Which is both in book 26 and in Sentinels 2. Which both have kids chanting and its ... lame

I have to say Big O seasons 1 ending was pretty good that it actually left us guessing and needing more. And it held our interest for over a year. We will have to see if repeated viewings will hold up.

I had actually assumed that Big O season 1 was the whole story. Roger figures out what's going on, and he goes off to continue his work. How many animes end with "and there was much more kick-ass fighting in his life"?

The ending of Hellsing. Sheer coolness. Had me wanting more, but I still enjoyed it.

Also, on the subject of Bebop's ending, I really don't care If they make a second season, BUT if they do anything to the ending of the First, I will give it up.

*FLCL ROCKS!*

Nope, were all perty sure he was dead. That would have had to been the worse he was ever betten up in the entier series, if the bullet shots, and the cuts from Visous didnt kill him, the lose of blood would have.

Back on Track:
I just saw ALL of Ghost in the Shell, and the ending sucked, thank god I didnt by this movie. But for some reason most of the Manga Production movies end like that.

I was kind of hopping for a little bit more with the Marcoss Pluss ending, but it was ok.

Macross II. Im not sure if this was the one that they counted as not apart of the story, but that when they get into that WHAT IS LOVE crap it kind of kills it for me.

Outlaw Star would have been alot better, but from what read it looks like it had more editing done to it than any other show ever on CN.
Even know its been a long time Venus Wars was perty cool. All I can remeber about the end is that guy riding off on his bike.
