Same thing happend to me in 4th grade, but I didn't even try to punch him. He punched me, and I had a black eye for a month, and we both got like 2 weeks off of recess. Not a big deal now, but it was back then...

hmm... I was the smartest kid in my class and no one ever picked on me. I chose to ignore those incompetent masses, and it worked. Well except in 9th grade when i let half the class cheat off my earth science tests/homework just to spite the teacher.
Oh, and I must say one thing. I do so hate ebonics. I worked in Wendys and trying to understand people order... or my current job, yes I'm a telemarketer, there are people who actually say shizzle. Crack heads.
Which is why I live in a Utopian society. And i don't share my personal bubble. _________________ The problem with America is stupidity. I'm not saying there should be a capital punishment for stupidity, but why don't we just take the safety labels off of everything and let the problem solve itself?

There are alot of instances where students are suspended or worse for bringing wepons onto school property accidentily. One guy had a steak knife on the back of his truck from a family barbecue and he was expelled. _________________ To err is human, to forgive is prime.

The guy who punched me brought a knife to school a few years ago and got expelled for the rest of the year.

Wow, CC really is evil.
FDDs story is sad, but not uncommon. We of course all know that you should've waited. Teachers know who the trouble-makers are, I doubt you would've been marked tardy. Anyway, two weeks for a punch seems a bit extreme, the Nevada general rule is a week when heavily provoked, with a minor justification. In a sane society the other guy would've been gone for a month. I "accidentally" brought more than a few knives to school but did I get punished? Nah, I had good enough grades and was a oncvincing liar. Is that fair? Life isn't fair, I guess.

Yeah, I've developed a solution to that. A group of people here (including Aunt John and myself) are playing a D&D campaign. I am a goblin bard, with debilitating cowardice. When the thief was getting smacked (and healed by me), and the dwarf was unable to hit the bandit he was sitting on, and the cleric (irritatingly devoid of heal spells) gained the nickname "Silvos the Ever-Conscious", I was not hit. This was mainly due to the fact that I was constantly 10-15' away from the battle. Avoidance is surprisingly effective. _________________ Krogoth uses Berserk.
Attacks are enhanced but defense weakens.
