Post subject: Stupid Premiere!!!

| Two days ago I made an AMV using Adobe Premiere 6.5. To make the video I used 2 30-minute episodes which took up about a gig of space together. After I was finished with the video it was 3 and a half minutes long. After I rendered it and exported it, I was shocked. When I clicked on it, it said the size is 766 MB. This means that there is no way I could get it to Animemusicvideos.org or even fit it on a CD! The format this video was saved in was .avi. Is there any way I could save it in a different format like mpeg or comething like that so it would be less then 100 MB? |

There are ALWAYS ways to compress video. I would assume there are ways within Premeire to select how much space you want the final to take up.
But I'll leave the "how" up to people that actaully already HAVE Premiere.

Too bad WhtHawk's on summer break by now. Maybe Beefy has ideas.
Video compression's the way to go. Keep in mind Adobe does have tech support documents available to help you along.

Yeah--this is the second or third video-editting question that WhtHawk could've answered no problem. Why do they all wait until summer to ask these questions?

AVI is only a container. You can have many different kinds of video formats in it. Judging by the length and size of your video, I would guess it's in DV-AVI, HuffYUV, or some other large format.
To get it less than 100 MB, use a MPEG-4 codec like XviD or DivX. AMV.org has a XviD guide with pictures that should help.

| Thank you all for your help, now thanks to Div 5.2, my video is 58.7MB which is way more acceptable then it was before. Now, I just got to work on my edditing.... |

Dude totally I saw a trailer and some other bu ll sh it on other websites  I would soooooooo Da mn recommend toonami not put Naruto on their show cuz the new version ain't evn funny Its sofa king dumb Come on now replacing a sofa king knife with a sofa king lunchbox? Believe me I download my episodes but the one coming out in toonami is a fuking failure The new one is only a disgrace to all narutofan and its race I beg of you toonami people to NOT put Naruto into toonami If you are at least don't change nything
