Was it the same IP address the archive process was using? Your hosting company may have flagged it for suspicious activity.
(Then again, if it ran nonstop for 16 hours, that is a very lenient threshold. Perhaps a scheduled task to check activity logs once every day?)

Nobody has access to this server but Beefy and I (and I don't think mods can ban IPs).
Unless PHPNuke/PHPBB has an auto-ban for hammering the server.
Well, soon it won't matter. And every post here might not make it to the offline mirror :p

I considered this as well, and there is a pretty simple way to find out, but I'd prefer not to ban myself in the final days, you know? =)

That's what I mean. Not a "best of" but "frozen in time as of 8 hours ago". Takes a long long time to make a full mirror.

I'll make some modifications to key files (like the logo) to make it clear that this is a dead archive for the "final" version.
Let me know if this seems complete (or complete enough). So far, it seems pretty impressive...

We'll be hosting it in the same location with the same address, for as long as I feel like paying for the domain.
Getting rid of the old and deprecated and insecure PHP execution makes it viable to host in perpetuity.
