Yeah, I noticed more blood too. Except on Kenshin's chest, as I'm sure there should have been.

You may say I think this because the sub in my opinion is better, but the sub voice is different, but at the same time does give the prodigy feel to him with perhaps a Japanese equivalent, but the sub voice is dark and just..well..cool sounding

I will say if you like Aoshi just keep watching, cause when you least expect it...heh heh heh. Check out his sub voice and compare them and let me know what you think. He does sound more badass in the sub, though, I think today's ep will be yahiko's adventure.

Hey guys, I may be a moron, but I posted two things today and when I logged out and tried to look at them for replies, they never showed, yert when I wrote something else, I saw them as clear as day. Is something wrong, or is it a simple computer ignorant problem?

actually there was no toonami yesterday due to some april fool's special...i'm guessing that one's airing today then... (of course, if they just left in the "next episode" previews...)

I thought today's was supposed to be "Going for the Grand Championship" a sumo episode.... It's fun, light and cheery (unlike the previous episode.)

Next s/b a Megumi episode, then are two episodes which are pretty good... Assasination group of Five. Then comes "Birth of a Boy Swordsman" where we meet Tsubame-chan.

CORRECTION: Tsubame-chan comes first - confused myself, that I did...

wednesday night:

here we have a yahiko-centered episode, as he strives to prove his salt as a swordsman in saving tsubame, a new girl about his age working at the akabeko from the usual gang of thugs...while he takes some hits in the first encounter, with a little help from kenshin and the others, "little" yahiko defeats the leader, saves the girl, and gets ragged for blushing at the end (not to mention the nickname)

coming off the very serious ending of the obiwaban arc, this was a nice change of pace with a sweet story filled with the usual laughs...good to see yahiko get a little fleshing out character-wise too (character building never hurts in my book)

without the previews, i'm stumped as to what's happening tomorrow, though i guess the surprise is a good thing in a way...

[added about a minute later]

...forgot to mention, this was the only episode of the series i got to see in the original japanese, so i think you can see why i can't really guage many of the character's voices (kenshin himself only had a few lines)...i just bought the movie the other day though, so i plan to take in the japanese track this weekend and hear for myself the differences...

Today's episode was really good. Except for that girls voice. WAY too shrill. And baby-like. But the plot was really good.

thursday night:

this episode focuses on a sumo wrestler who recently ran away from his group...karou invites him to stay at the dojo and work on his training, and when his former group finds out, the leader is furious...in a fit of rage, they find and attack their former member, along with karou and the little girls...enter kenshin (with sano and yahiko) to help save the day...the leader challenges the former member to a wrestling match, which the good guy wins, and he gets reaccepted...

(that's the best i could do without character names...i really gotta start paying more attention...)

this is probably my least favorite epsiode of the "wandering samurai" arc, but that's mostly due to it's sumo wrestler theme, which i have no interest in at all...luckilly, the comedy side kept things alive, with more hilarious comments over karou's cooking and the bit at the end with kenshin and the rice...to the series' credit, although i may not think of this episode highly, it was still very enjoyable, kind of like talking about a 'sub-par' episode of cowboy bebop: might be low compared to the rest of the series, but still good nontheless...
