q: which section of time/human civilization should I base my upcoming (in the hopefully not so far distastant future) historical fighting game on? (my thought is the roman era, being it to easy with the gladiators and all, but I want other ideas as well)

a: that's what I'm going to school for, animation, that DOES include 3d which does include games. I'm more than likely going to go into gaming when I graduate instead of somewhere like movies or tv... just seems more... fun. Though I might also get a job doing story boarding and/or character design... not really too sure.
q: I like rome too, it's got a nice big expansive empire to choose a variety of peoples and fighting styles. what other possible empire like things where there that haven't been done before? (japan and china are SO incredibly overplayed)
