So, it's coming to Toonami.
Who's seen it? Shinobo has! The first five episodes anyway....
Brief Review: It's eh. Not awful, but not incredible. If you're looking for a a good, pretty solid show, then Rave will work for you. If you're looking for an experience like Bebop Episode 26, look elsewhere. In other words Rave is a good anime, but it is not anime as art. Did I like it? Yupo. It should do well on Toonami. The music was good, and the story was interesting enough to keep it from being boring. All in all, a good lighthearted adventure series. I advise checkin’ it out on DVD before it comes to the big Toonamizzle.
Story:
A bunch of years ago there were these two stones: The Holy Stone Rave and the Dark Stone Darkbring. They fought. Destroyed half the world, bla di bla di bla. Darkbring broke into several bazillion pieces and was scattered. No one knows what became of Holy. Now, today....there is this guy named Haru, who travels with a small white thing (no one can really figure out what it is) named Plue. One day they go into a town and meet female main lead Elie in a casino. They manage to piss her off and she destroys the place. This chance meeting seems to mean nothing, but later they meet again. They are attacked by a member of the Demon Card Gang, a group of people who run the city they are currently in. The Demon Card Gang member uses some magic power given to him by the stone he carries, which Haru identifies as being part of the dark stone Darkbring. When he realizes this, he whips out his own surprise: he happens to have the Holy Stone RAVE. HOLY CRAP! He proceeds to whip much ass with said stone. Episode 1 ends with a mysterious dude laughing while his coat billows in the wind. And thus I leave you to wait till the show comes to Toonami, or is released on DVD.

I must brag. I'm getting the entire series in today shipped from Hong Kong, but so far I've only watched 4 episodes bootleg.
