This episode was funny as hell and it also explained why kozuka was killed instead of getting beaten to a coma. Incidentialy, does anyone else think that the two men and the girl were dead from the beginning?

That's what Toon Zone hypothesized, and I'm guessing they're probably right, since there are tons of hints in the episode that indicate that conclusion.

And yes, this week's episode = Laughing

They weren't dead from the beginning. At least, not all three of them. You REALLY have to watch this episode twice. I tape AS Saturdays incase I'm A) out doing something, or B) Fall asleep (It's happened.)

So I watched it Saturday, then watched it again yesterday, JUST to see when they didn't have shadows.

Fuibachi figures out they're dead when he sees they have no shadows. This episode was FULL of shadows. Kudos to the animators. So, the key is, when they don't have shadows, they're dead.

Anyway, Kanome, the little girl, was dead from the very beginning. (Hard to spot, 3/4 of her body was in shadow, but her head cast no shadow.)

Zebra and Fuibachi died when they took the sleeping pills. (When they're in the abandoned building, breathing in Carbon Monoxide, you can see Zebra's shadow from the fire. And before they went into this building, they each had a shadow. Afterwards? No shadow.)

The man that jumped in front of the train? Yeah, when he "walked away", he was dead too. (Those around him had shadows. Also, no one turned to look at the bloody man walking away. Zebra was the only one to notice. This was really supposed to be your first clue that Zebra was dead.)

So there's your answer. Again, I must say, kudos to the animators, and kudos to whoever wrote this episode.

Forgot to mention. Lil Slugger DOES have a shadow when you see him. In the exact same setting/lighting that you see the no-shadow Kanome, Zebra, and Fuibachi.

How if relates to anything? Don't know. Ask me after I finish watching the series. I'm sure this episode had a point. I'm not yet sure what that point was.

My guess is that the living people saw the ghosts differently from the way the audience saw them. We saw them as normal people, but I'm thinking is that the characters saw something different. That's probably why Lil' Slugger ran away. Would YOU be scared half-to-death if you saw something that looked ghastly?

That's also probably why the girls freaked out when they saw their picture develop. They probably saw something that looked completely inhuman in it (note how the girls didn't even notice them [even the girl who was holding the camera...when she should've seen them in broad daylight] when they snapped the photo).

But Lil' Slugger is a segment of someone's mind, like he only appears and attacks people who are in a mental corner. And sure a human would be scared of what they see but Lil' Slugger is hardly human or even something physical. But yeah i'm hoping the next episodes will clear stuff up. Oh btw, did Fuibachi say that Makoto Kazuka(the Lil'Slugger suspect) was a regular at that suicide place? Because that's pretty odd since Makoto only seemed depressed in the questioning. Or maybe he was depressed before which is why he started escaping reality into his little game world?

I doubt that, there are supposed to be a few more episodes that vaugely related to the main plot.

I really don't think one should say "Lil Slugger is . . . " until after we've seen the entire series. Right now, they could make him into a homlesss dragaon hobo in search of a dire rat if they really wanted to. They have a enough time. And enough crazy.

There're only a few more episodes left aren't there? Then that's it for the series?

Yep. There are 13 episodes and we've already gotten through 8.

From what I hear the ending won't be quite as bad as NGE, but expect it to be a one heck of a mind fragger.

I'm looking forward to the end of it. Altough I sorta watch the epidoes zoning between my labby and my TV. It sounds interesting enough to watch Full-Time.

This is hte type of show you have to pay full attention to TWICE. The second time, you should be in control of the remote and rewind at will to watch a 1 second clip just to make sure you saw what you thought you did. Any other way and you're just not going to understand a damn thing.
