The more i watch about our Wandering Samurai. The more i think his little moral of the story speechs sound an awful lot like Yoda.

Yoda "(muppet noise) Train you I will Yes"
RK "Train you I will. That I must"

I noticed that a long time ago, and it's one of the more annoying things about the series.

It almost seems like a cadence count the way the english VA does it. His voice seems very new to me. I havent heard it any other anime i can remeber.

But these little lines seem so weird and missplaced sometimes. And you feel like "Ok and now we learn the moral to our story"

I liked morals the way the Animaniacs did it...

Well, he is trying to match the lip flaps.
And the weird English speech pattern is trying to approximate Kenshin's weird Japanese speech pattern. It's supposed to be a quirky character affectation. I guess it's also supposed to be endearing, like ending your sentences in "-nyo", "no da" ("you know") or "ne?" ("right?") Wink

Oh, how quickly we forget the greatness that is Legato Bluesummers (Trigun)...

Legato rules...

Plus Yoda rocks. So, if someone thinks Yoda rocks then they must think the show rocks. Note my PATHETIC logic. Spock, stun me, throw me in the brig, and recite the entire regulation book to me.

He could have been going for different voices.
