while i may not have the authority to say this, tempest, you should really remove a certain part of your post concerning events in kenshin that many people here haven't seen yet or at the very least, give some sort of spoiler warning...
as for my pick, it'd have to be the wandering samurai himself, though a showdown between him and goemon would be rather interesting...if i wasn't so lazy, i'd probably put up a poll just between those two...

Personally, I think Kenshin is overrated, Gourry, well he's an idiot, so I pick the Gouf option.
Guts should have been on here. He'd use Kenshin's head for a bloody game of golf.

Tenchi's awesome...but regarding sword handling skills, he hasn't shown a me too too much...if he didn't have the LHW, Kenshin would take him down in about .0142 seconds |

Umm, given the choices, I'd have to pick Vicious. He has "badass" written all over him. If I ignore the semantics, and have a write-in candidate, I'd have to say either Twilight Suzuka or that guy in Vision of Escaflowne who used the 8-foot sword against the wave of guymelefs while Van first got into the Escaflowne. Damn that was a big sword.
