You know, I've been thinking about it, and I think if it weren't for Chapelle making fun of him, no one would care. Ray Charles passed away, what, a month ago? And no one made a big deal out of it. But with the "I'm Rick James Bitch" catchphrase, as well as "Cocaine is a hellova drug, heh heh heh . . .", Chapelle somehow made people care.

Yes, he did.
It was an alternate cover. It was supposed to have Missy Elliot and others on it, but at the last moment they scraped that and put Johnny Cash on the cover, and did a huge article on him.
