Many people are dumbfounded about how Cartoon Network shows are getting to be. The only thing good on weekdays is adult swim, and Toonami is pretty much gone except for Yu Yu hakusho, Dragonball GT, and Ruroni Kenshin. Most the other stuff is cheap buttgravy that nobody but a bunch of 3 year olds would want to watch. If you're outraged like myself post your opinion here. I'm also starting a poll on what people like (or dislike) most about Cartoon Networks recent changes. And if you don't like what I have to say about the newer fake-anime/bad animation in general shows, THEN TOUGH! Nothing but a schedule change (for the better of anime shows like Kenshin) will make up my mind about Cartoon Network's new approach, because I have almost completeley lost my respect i have for them.

Almost 1/3 of Cartoon Network's airtime is dedicated to things you like.
Three years ago, it was less than 1/10th.
I don't think you should be complaining about any changes.

People like you make me realize how well off you newer to CN are, at least you have the right to complain about the options you have available to you.

Back when most of use were younger you watched what was on; there was no anime and there was little we could do to change it.

So you don't like Miguzi; big deal. I got 3 words you you: Don't watch it.

First of all I would like to acknowledge you and welcome you to the board.

Secondly I want to point out that no such thing as "fake-anime" exists. The Japanese do not hold any copyright(that I'm aware of) to storytelling and speedlines or large expressive eyes. However many recent series have been emulating or homaging some aspects that seem commonplace in anime. Take Megas XLR for example, Megas is not anime and as far as I know is not trying to be anime. Giant Robots weren't invented by the Japanese and neither were entertaining and humorous storylines. The shows creators are fans of anime and use it among various other pop culture references for the purpose of humor.

Sure you could argue wtih examples of shows trying to blantantly capitalize on the craze, but what does it really matter? You honestly believe that CN is a group of insane geniuses attempting to "trick you" into thinking what you're witnessing is in fact anime. But then, OMG you realize in a moment of absolute HORROR that some crazy american dreamed up this hideous vision, and you prepare your torches and pitchforks to parade around the street.

...And last time I checked you'll still find just as much or more anime per day compared to when Toonami still ran 5 days a week.

Maybe if you explained which shows you have a problem with that might strengthen what little argument you have.

personally, i don't like any of the shows that Miguzi has to offer, ecspecially Totally Spies. Whoever thought of that show should be dragged out into the street and shot. Not to mention the fact that the entire block is hosted by a bunch of retarded underwater mutants and a little girl. Anyway, I think that having Miguzi/Toonami on every day of the week is better idea now that i think about it. It would attract current veiwers and disgusted people like me. Futhermore, that would probably make Cartoon Network more watched than Nickolodion. I'm just surprised there aren't any other people like me on the net.

P.S.: That little block of Tonami shouldn't count because 1. it has only Poke'mon and Yu-gi-oh. 2. It's the morning for crying out loud! I don't usually get up early and I'm busy with school, so it kinda defeats the point.
So if you really think that what Cartoon Network did was good, THEN FINE! I only wanted to get my opinion out and blow off a little steam, and that's all (I'm human too, beleive it or not) So, i guess this means I'm the last one that's 100% behind Toonami, it sucks to be alone ='(

P.P.S.: And yes, even though there is more air time for toonami, most of the newer shows suck, so there.

No, I'm 100% behind Toonami, I just have a different idea about what Toonami represents.

I like teen titans, that's on miguzi. Static Shock isn't that bad. But I'll agree Totally spies is dumb, prolly not dumber(rolls eye) than a lot of other things I've seen on though. Maybe he'd like to go back to the days where an hour of Hamtaro was on each day.

I just feel helpless (along with many others) to do squat about the whole thing other than to laothe it in everyway possible. The thing is, Toonami and Miguzi are so different, and yet so alike. Cartoon Network would have a lot of happy fans if they had both with reasonable timing. I still wouldn't support Miguzi, but I wouldn't lash out like this if CN peeps would take this sort of thing into consideration. That not being the case, here I am. I don't care what you people out there say about me or my ideas, I just had to blow off some steam (and iff you've noticed, my threads have gotten a whole lot more polite then when i started) I'm sure that if CN people would use my idea, their rating would hit another galaxy (and a lot less unhappy veiwers) Anyway, I've stated my opinion so I'm pretty much done, I will keep watching the poll and the messages. Anyway, I'm off to use the internet in irresponsible ways, so bye!

Define "reasonable timing".

Not very well. Razz

Put some thought and details into this idea.

- Who exactly are the viewers you're aiming this block at? (Kids, early teens, anime fans?)

- What shows do you propose?

- When should this block run?

- How is this idea actually going to increase viewership?

- Why fix what isn't broken in the eyes of network execs and advertisers?

To put things in perspective: you have Miguzi in your name. Yes, it says you hate it. But it's still in your name.

Have a nice day.

Did everyone's logic train but mine derail. Look at the poll options for this thread. Miguzihater obviously isn't exactly the most intelligent new poster; why even try to reason with him?

No, as a matter of fact I'd say it's our greatest weapon. Wink

Because he's far from the least intelligent poster we have; and I'm really curious how he proposes to improve Miguzi's timeslot so that it outperforms the previous weekday Toonami ratings by more than the 23% increase that Cartoon Network claims Miguzi does. Laughing
