Take my word for it, it's the real deal. I bought stuff from there before, most of the companys you purchase from are warehouses. The are brand new, still in the package. I have bought Euro trance CD's from there that you can't find in america. The cd's were like $25-30 and I got the for around $10, take it as you will. I know the truth though...

FYI to anyone looking for Outlaw Star. I just purchased the entire box set for $15 and change on half.com It's a site run by e-bay.

Every listing I saw there was the 3-disc bootleg.

I also saw the complete box set of Cowboy Bebop for around $20,
A listing like that just screams, "BOOTLEG!"

Sorry primalbliss, you can believe what you want, but it's the truth.

And if they are bootleg, is that a problem. Is it Outlaw Star? Yes.
Am I getting all 26 ep's? Yes. I don't see what the big deal is if it is a bootleg, I am getting the whole thing for $15. Maybe some people don't care about whether it is authentic or not, maybe some people such as me just enjoy the show for what it is.

If it is or isn't I will find out in a week or so anyway, so why argue cause when it comes down to it I still have the entire Outlaw Star for $65 less than what it is.

If you're happy, fine. Personally speaking, I'd rather give my money to the companies that actually made the show, not the criminals that stole it.
There's no reason to go around bragging about buying stolen goods and telling everyone what a bargain you made, it just makes you look stupid. And trying to defend your purchase when it's politely pointed out that you're getting ripped off is even more stupid.

Looks like it's time to post these links again:
The Pirate Anime FAQ
The 95 Theses of Fandumb
Everyone loves it when I do.

First off if you read my orginal post you could see that I wasn't bragging, I was just trying to help anyone out who wanted it. Second, if it is or isn't bootleg that I do not know, and didn't when I was purchasing it. If it is I don't care, don't take your personal vent out on me. Maybe you should talk to e-bay, a respectable company who is supporting this. I was defending my purchase because it was what I was led to believe. You say I am getting ripped off, I say I am getting a deal, two different opinions that only matter to the people on oppisite sides. Third, I have bought stuff from the site before and it wasn't bootleg, not one single item, so as you can see it's easy for ME to believe that this won't be either. But anyway if it is bootleg than so be it, my intentions from the beginning were to help people from the start but as quoted from the Wizard's Second Rule the worse outcomes usually comes from the best intentions. You should work on what you call polite, because what is polite to you might not be true to others.

Compared to what you would have received on a different board, you got off easy.
I will speak out, and I will not advocate the purchase of counterfeit goods in any way, shape or form.
Discussion over.

as nobu said, discussion over. we don't condone or endorse the purchase of bootleg material here. we just don't occasionally somebody does bring it up but they always tread lightly when it comes to the subject.

eBay will only take action against obvious bootleggers. They themselves are not the reputable source you need to quote. Each seller is in esence their own store. Think of eBay as a shopping mall. You don't say the mall is honest just because you have bought from a few stores in it, same goes for eBay.

Anywho Bootlegged anime is easy to tell. If it is region-free and has chinese anything then guess what? It's bootlegged. It's just from a fancy bootlegging company.

Got it? Good.
