Post subject: Boomeraction POWER EXTREME

After doing a search and finding neither a Boomerang or Boomeraction. I think its safe to start a new one.
So the 80's in me has Tivo recording "Centurions" on a season pass. Why? Well its not that good is it? Lets see bad animation, stupid enemies, lots of sterotypes, and for a mid-80's cartoon awfully 70's looking mustaches. But im drawn to watching it and laughing when I notice things like the Orbital "Action pack" exposes the users neck in space. Of course how could I forget Lucy the monkey?
So CN and Boomerang have access to a rather large cartoon archive within the AOL/Time Warner empire. But it seems like their lineup hasn't or doesnt change much. Any chance we will see M.A.S.K. or GoBots on Boomerang? Or for those who said that Robotech and Gundam 0079 were to old school to put them on there? I know Boomerang is the dumping grounds for the old cartoons and how CN made room for Toonami ect. But it would be good to see some of these older shows come back on. So far Thundarr and Centurions seem to be the two newest shows they have.
Anyone have any other Boomerang news? _________________ Certified Narutard |

The show that's on Boomerang that really doesnt make any sense is Pirates of Dark Water. It's not that old and one of the best piratey cartoons ever made (second only to Mad Jack the Pirate which Disney now has in its vaults) _________________ "Veni. Vedi. Spooki." - Julius Caesar

My lifes Pirates of Dark Water. Why dont you think it belongs on Boomerang? Do you think its to new?
And I saw that June Bugs was moving to Boomerang to. Is this a sign of more looney tunes moving over? |

yes, I do think its too new. If they're going to move an early 90's show to boomerang they need to alot of other 90's shows over so it would fit in. I still think SWAT Cats was a perfect candidate for toonami, pirates too. _________________ "Veni. Vedi. Spooki." - Julius Caesar

SWAT cats was on CN at one point early on wasnt it?
(uh oh... one line reply... um...)
How old school would Swat cats be on Toonami? Maybe have that be from 4-5 with Samari Pizza Cats as a block

yeah it was, it was never part of any block which is a shame really because it's one of the best american television action cartoons I can remember _________________ "Veni. Vedi. Spooki." - Julius Caesar

Thats high praise for a show like that Spook. It really is. Im trying to remember the episodes to say whether I agree or not. But if I remember right it was in the early days of CN that it had it. |

I think they had it either right after or right before Toonami as late as 2000, and I agree with spook. The detail they put into the machines and the characters really showed, story wise it was just your average american action show with the characters never really changing, but the Spider-manesqe anti-hero thing made it watchable and intreseting. _________________ Bang. |
