Post subject: Lunar Eclipse

I have a very simple request. Does anyone know where I can download a video clip of last night's full Lunar Eclipse? My group for video production wanted to tape it and through a snafu that was no one's fault, we couldn't do so. So if anyone knows where I can snag a video clip of it happening, I'd highly appreciate it. Thanks.

Well, unless any TIL forum members somehow caught the eclipse, it's the closest anyone is ever gonna get to it on the Internet. I spent long hours of searching and this was the best I can find. There are no video clips. It's just webcams that update every 20-30 seconds and gifs like the one I just posted. |

Actually, Daikun, you may want to say where that eclipse .gif is taken from, geographically. At my house the eclipse actually started at the general "bottom" of the moon and went "upwards," instead of how it looks in your image. Don't you just love living on a spherical planet?

Is it just me, or does that shadow look kind of fake?
I mean like when the shadow is just starting on the side, it looks too perfect. Is that how it really is? I've never really seen an eclipse that closely... |
