On a side note, I'm still on the fence about whether or not I should buy the new Patlabor movie box sets. I already have both Patlabor 1 and 2 on DVD from Manga's release, and from what I've heard about the new dubs, they aren't a marked improvement over the original (not bad at all, but not any better). While the large production books included with each do pique my curiousity, I've never really been one to delve into "making of" featurettes (except for interviews with the English voice actors/actresses, which I find interesting). Is there anyone here who actually heard both sets of dubs? |
