They won't bring in people who wouldn't have bought it without them. However, they will make a difference in which version is purchased. true, but namco doesn't care which version sells they just want them to sell. it's the console's companies who are worried. Anywho I'd pick the GC version over the ps2 cuz I think tekken is enough Heihachi, at least there has never been this version of Link before. Nintendo confirmed to IGNcube today that beginning February 9 and running through May of this year, consumers who buy a GameCube for $149.99 at participating retailers will get a free game with the system courtesy of the company.
Buyers will be able to choose from four games, including: Metroid Prime, Resident Evil 0, Star Fox Adventures or Mario Party 4.
"It's an exciting program," said Nintendo of America's vice president of marketing and corporate affairs Perrin Kaplan. "It's a great opportunity come February for consumers to get their hands on the games that keep the folks at IGN up at night: Metroid Prime, Mario Party, Star Fox Adventures and Resdident Evil 0."
The more aggressive move by Nintendo could provide an extended boost to holiday sales of GameCube, which were solid, but noticeably behind a larger spike in demand for Microsoft's Xbox console.

Sega of America president and chief executive officer Peter Moore has stepped down from his position, the publisher announced today. Effective immediately, his position will be filled by Tetsu Kayama, CEO of Sega Corporation, the publisher's Japanese parent.
"We thank Peter Moore for his four years of service at SEGA and wish him well in his future endeavors," said Kayama.
No reasons for the move were given in Sega's announcement. The company's American operations under fire late last year for lackluster software sales, especially of Sega Sports titles, which Sega blamed for its failure to meet profit expectations. _________________ "Veni. Uh... Wow. Who knew that the GBA could EVER handle a real 3d game like Quake! While its only being tested to see if it might run on the GBA, it still looks promising. Check out some of the other 3d games this company is working on.
I do believe the 3d engine is almost as good as the one on the PSX.. can't remember anymore... oh and I just preorder the Windwaker so i get the special Ocarina of time disc, I just can't wait _________________ The problem with America is stupidity. I'm not saying there should be a capital punishment for stupidity, but why don't we just take the safety labels off of everything and let the problem solve itself?

Stupid DoA XBV. Whoever programmed this game knows jack about volleyball. Your supposed to only get points if your team is serving, DUH! Your team can't hit the ball more than three times before sending it over the net, sheesh!
