Because I think Ryoko deserves him and I think he cares about her too. Tenchi = pansy? No way. Tenchi is actually very brave when he has to be and I have the feeling Ryoko would actually settle down slightly if she felt she didn't need to compete/show off/annoy ayeka all the time. If you look at her when Ayeka's not around Ryoko's pretty calm.
I think Ryoko really does deserve Tenchi though, after all she went through in the OVA (and if we count them TU and TiT which I also liked even if they're not 'proper' Tenchi) like watching him through his childhood and going to beat the hell out of Kagato after Tenchi 'died' etc. I just think she cares such a lot about him, and Tenchi? Even when Ayeka didn't want him to go and fetch her he did so anyway and then when Zero was being Ryoko he acted pretty nice to her a lot of the time...I don't know, I just like them best.

Which one? We talk about Tenchi being surrounded by women, but how long has Yosho been alive? Well we know that he has been married enough to let branches of the family tree criss-cross and nobody really knows about it, so I'd say Tenchi has a lot of catching up to do.
