they could all suck...but honestly, I think DBZ and Akira have the most potential...
Akira is something I've always seen an anime that could make a real smooth transition into live action, if afforded a lot of money AND a good writer/director
DBZ has never been a series that people have found particularly smart...so scripting wouldn't be a problem; once again, if a lot of money is poured in (like I think'll happen), this movie could be a ton of fun
so...eh...I vote...eh...DBZ seems to have a more realistic chance to me of making the leap

Transformers. The people behind it did a kickass job with Xmen2, and look to have done a kickass job with LXG (can't wait for that one.) Plus, you figure, TF has been around even longer than DBZ. So you probably have some old school fans doing the animation, in addition to a very large budget. With fans doing it, there's no way in hell they would do it wrong. They'd hate themselves forever. _________________ anime is teh s uck

I think Evangelion will suck the least.
You've got GAINAX, ADV, and that studio that did the visual effects for the LOTR movies all working on it.
GAINAX will make sure it remains true to the story. ADV will make it appealing to American audiances, and that visual effects studio (can't remember the name) will make it look uber-sweet.
Even though they'll be cramming the story into ~2 hours, with those three big companies behind it, hopefully it won't suck.
There's also the chance they'll still blow it. There's also the chance all the live-action remakes will be good.
We'll just have to wait and see. _________________ "Robots don't say 'ye'."

So there's going to be a Bastard adapatation also?
Any who, I would assume that the Dragonballz and Transformer live action adapatations would probably be the most lucrative ones.Considering there's like a huge fan following to the series as it is.

Lupin. It was originally made with a non-anime feel altogether, and already has a hell of a lot of Western culture influence on it. I doubt anything will get lost in the transition unless the project is severely botched. _________________ This space left intentionally blank.

I'd also say Lupin. It's easily the most realistic of the lot, therefore no huge suspension of disbelief (Goemon excluded) in order for the viewer to get drawn into the story. It's basically Bond meets "To Catch a Thief". _________________ "When I became a man, I put away childish things, including the fear of childishness and the desire to be very grown up."- C.S. Lewis

Lupin may be the easiest to make the transistion. But im putting my faith in Transformers not being lame. Just hope it gets the budget it needs. Or it will be a live action movie with 3 minutes of bad CGI _________________ Certified Narutard

I'm torn between Lupin and Eva.
Lupin should be very good, because, as mentioned before it does not have an anime feel to begin with. I think if we get some good actors, a nice budget, good writers and a good director, we have a good flick.
I think Eva's gonna be all about special effects. Everything else is gonna suck, but the effects should prove to be cool.

WAH, that didn't help the Final Fantasy movie. The animation was bueatuiful but the story sucked enflamed donkey nuts. People would say "Yeah I saw FF, it sucked enflamed donkey nuts, but had good cg." The suckage ALWAYS came before the complement. _________________ "Veni. Vedi. Spooki." - Julius Caesar
